We recognise that parents are the most important influence on how your child learns but at the Children’s Ark we aim to provide learning experiences for all our children, following the guidance of the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’.
From the term after their 3rd birthday, all children are entitled to free funded education, 15 hours a week. Some two year olds may also be eligible for funding if their parents are receiving benefits.
The best sort of learning takes place when children are happy and interested in what they are doing and there is a sensitive adult nearby who can make suggestions, answer questions, help the child to think more deeply about what s/he’s doing and generally enrich their experience. This is why we place great importance on a planned play environment and on quality adult/child interactions.
