Expressive arts and design

This is the area of learning where children explore different materials and processes in art, use their imaginations, make music and sing lots of songs!

The children are free to paint and draw using a variety of processes every day. There is always play dough available and the cut and stick equipment for making models. We teach the children how to use various tools and how to mix paint.

You can help your child by:

• Showing interest in their creation – ask them how they made it
• Ask them which part they like best and why.
